During his college career at Florida State University under legendary coach Bobby Bowden, Peter established himself as a force on the gridiron. As a consensus All-American, ACC Defensive Player of the Year, and National Defensive Player of the Year, his school-record 19 sacks in a single season remain a proud chapter in Seminole history.
Selected 4th overall in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, Peter continued his elite trajectory in the pros:
